Despite the continued presence of queues at all dispensing gas stations, the NNPC has assured that the product is available to meet the demands of Nigerians.
This reaffirmation came in a press release from the corporation where it stated that. “NNPC Ltd once again assures Nigerians that it has sufficient stock of petroleum products for distribution across the country and is working assiduously with partners to ensure the product reaches every part of the country”.
The presence of queues nationwide has been attributed to distribution hitches and it said efforts are being intensified to resolve these hitches which is largely a logistics problem. Some of the measure to ensure delivery to the end user is the engagement of Government Security Agencies to ensure that all products loaded get to the right destination.
It also said ” NNPC is engaging depot operators to load products round the clock to accelerate the restoration of normal distribution”
It further pleaded for more patience from Nigerians as normalcy will soon be restored.
