Subsea7 Bags Multi-million Contract in US Gulf of Mexico

Subsea7 has won a “sizeable” contract, worth between $50 and $150 million for subsea infrastructure in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The contract came shortly after one secured with Woodside Energy for a deepwater oil project in the area.

The contract will cover engineering, procurement, construction, and offshore installation (EPCI) of a water injection flowline, hull piping, and related subsea infrastructure.

Subsea7 had in April, secured a contract with Talos Energy to work on a subsea tie-back of a commercial oil and natural gas discovery to an existing tension leg platform (TLP) in the Gulf of Mexico.

Within this project, Subsea7 is to install the flowline and related subsea equipment at a depth of 500 meters, with its Houston office overseeing project management and installation engineering. Offshore work is set to begin later this year.

Project management and engineering will commence immediately at Subsea7’s Houston, Texas, office, with offshore operations slated for 2026.
