Motorists in South Africa can expect a drop in fuel prices by next Wednesday, media reports cited data from the Central Energy Fund.
According to Energy News Africa, a price reduction of between nine and thirteen cents per litre, depending on the grade of fuel. Diesel prices are expected to drop by between 14 and 26 cents per litre, also depending on the grade. Additionally, the price of paraffin is anticipated to decrease by around 20 cents per litre.
The anticipated decrease in fuel prices follows a stronger rand-dollar exchange rate during the review period and a reduction in the price of Brent crude oil in July.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy is expected to announce the official fuel price adjustments soon.
