Pro-democracy activist Hon. Mike Msuaan has urged authorities to extend fuel subsidy removal palliatives to higher institution students. At an award ceremony where he received the Distinguished Service Award as a True Nationalist in Abuja.
According to Leadership, Msuaan emphasized that such palliatives would alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on students, nationwide.
He praised the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) leadership for their understanding and engagement with the federal government regarding the fuel subsidy removal. Hon. Msuaan emphasized their responsible approach compared to disruptive protests.
While expressing gratitude for the award, he pledged his support for NANS’ progressive initiatives and underlined his own background as a product of struggle and a former student unionist.
Comrade Nnalue Attah, Senate President of NANS, praised Hon. Msuaan’s leadership qualities and described him as an inspiration to students and the nation at large.
