The Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC), has assured Nigerians of adequate supply and availability of petrol to last the festive periods and beyond.
This was mentioned by the GCEO of the company Mele Kyari, when he led an NNPC Ltd delegation on a courtesy visit to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, at the National Assembly in Abuja, on Wednesday.
He disclosed that the company is making robust plan to provide sufficient petroleum products, especially Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to last the period of festivities.
“By the creation of the National Assembly, NNPC Ltd is saddled with the responsibility of guaranteeing Nigeria’s energy security which is critical to national security. We have made a robust plan for the forthcoming end of the year festivities and beyond. We do not see any shortages in the petroleum products supply for the period.” said Kyari.
In his response, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, applauded the company’s commitment and assured them of the support by the national assembly to see that the plan is been achieved.
