Japan, through its International Cooperation Agency, has invested $500 million to bolster Nigeria’s power transmission infrastructure.
The investment focuses on enhancing the Lagos-Ogun industrial corridor by supporting the development of new power transmission substations and upgrading existing ones.
This initiative will strengthen capacity and expand the transmission grid, falling under Nigeria’s Presidential Power Initiative to improve energy supply in key industrial areas.
The move represents a significant effort to address power challenges in one of Nigeria’s critical economic zones.
