Nigerian Govt Assures Citizens of 24-Hour Electricity Supply

Bayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, has reassured that he is not losing focus on the plan to provide 24-hour electricity to Nigerians.

He stated this at the first Annual Socio-Economic Summit organised by Jericho Business Club in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The Minister stressed that plans taken by previous administrations to address the power challenges were ineffective, thus, rendering their policies useless.

According to Adelabu, “The agenda to provide 24-hour electricity for Nigerians is still on course and intact. Our people have suffered so much in terms of energy poverty.”

While acknowledging that the problems with the power sector are numerous, the Minister emphasised that he has the mandate to ensure that a steady and effective electricity supply in the country is achieved.
