From October 24-26, 2023 Morocco’s city of Marrakech will host the energy-focused tagged ‘3rd Morocco Oil & Gas Summit’.
The event is organized by leading global energy investment platform IN-VR, and endorsed by the Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM). The event will convene 35 executives from different companies and West African governments, as well as investors to discuss a wide range of topics, including the Nigeria- Morocco gas pipeline.
A milestone project for Morocco and Nigeria and their respective continental ambitions, the pipeline will cover over 11 countries along the Atlantic coast to benefit over 400 million inhabitants across West Africa.
Morocco is set to be home to 1,672 kilometres of the pipeline, according to Morocco World News.
King Mohammed VI emphasized the importance of the project during the commemoration of the 46th Green March anniversary on November 6 of last year, stressing that he wanted the strategic project to benefit all of West Africa.
In addition to the gas pipeline, the summit participants will also focus on energy and production opportunities in the Moroccan energy sector as well as the country’s and region’s hydrocarbons sector.
The summit is now open for registration and offers prospective participants several opportunities, including networking and roundtable dialogues, the statement concluded, the report noted.
