Nigeria Hikes Electricity Tariffs for ‘Band A’ Customers

Nigeria’s electricity Distribution Companies (Discos) have announced an increase in electricity tariffs for ‘Band A’ customers, effective July 1.

The new tariffs have risen from N206.80/kWh to N209.5/kWh.

The adjustment, attributed to the revision of the 2024 MYTO for Band A customers, does not affect Bands B, C, D, and E, which will maintain their current tariff rates.

The decision was confirmed by various distribution companies including Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc (PHED) and Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (Kaduna Electric), both assuring customers of continued service standards.
