Nigeria: Abundant Gas Resources to End Pains of Subsidy Removal, Says Minister.

The minister of state petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekpo Ekperikpe, says that due to president Tinubu’s strategic and courageous removal of fuel subsidy, the exploitation and utilisation of Nigeria’s abundant gas resources is set to unleash the country’s sustainable development, growth and progress.

Ekpo disclosed this when he led a high-powered Federal Government delegation on a working visit to Greenville LNG facility, recently.

“The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will give all and every support to Greenville LNG and other Gas producers to achieve the nation’s desirable development”, Minister Ekpo assured his hosts.

The minister, commended the work of Greenville LNG, while emphasizing the federal government’s commitment to global Climate Change.

He said in a statement after the visit: “I was impressed with the state-of-the -art facilities that I saw, and the additional jobs created for our citizens in the plant was fulfilling.”

“Let me commend the foresight, dedication and patriotism of all investors and partners in this (Greenville) LNG plant given the volume of LNG it is supplying to bridge the demand gap in the domestic market,” he further stated.

He assured the firm that he will work assiduously with his team and other relevant agencies to resolve the crisis in the gas sector.

Greenville LNG’s executives at the event included the CEO, Laurent Maubre and the company’s Chief Financial Officer Raju Limbachiya, as well as other management staff of the company.
