IPMAN should pressurize NIPCO to return depots to oil marketers to benefit directly from NNPC – AROGMA President

Bashir Ahmad Danmalam, President of Arewa Oil and Gas Marketers Association of Nigeria (AROGMA), has urged Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to direct efforts towards Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO) to reclaim withheld shares and regain control of depots.

Danmalam emphasized during an Abuja interview that blaming NNPC for fuel price issues is misplaced, urging IPMAN to address root issues with NIPCO for subsidized fuel prices.

He criticized baseless allegations and urged IPMAN to collaborate with AROGMA for concrete solutions, emphasizing the importance of transparency and thorough investigation.

Danmalam highlighted previous calls for investigating withheld NIPCO shares and urged IPMAN to prioritize reclaiming depots for subsidized fuel rates, noting it’s the Petroleum Equalization Fund’s responsibility to pay oil claims, not NNPC’s.

He underscored the need for IPMAN to understand the petroleum sector’s operations and work collectively for meaningful outcomes.
