Huawei, a global leader in digital power products and solutions, has introduced its range of smart solar products aimed at powering industries, businesses, and residential homes in Kano, Nigeria, as part of its nationwide product launch.
At the launch event in Kano, the director of Huawei Digital Power Nigeria, Ni Zhilin, emphasized the importance of renewable energy, stating that it is the sustainable and smart energy choice for Nigeria amidst increasing electricity tariffs and diesel prices, according to Leadership.
Highlighting the impact of energy challenges on manufacturing in Nigeria, Mohammed Bello Umar, Chairman of the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN) Bompai/Jigawa Branch, expressed concern over rising operational costs and supply chain disruptions.
In response to these challenges, MAN partnered with Huawei to provide cost-effective smart solar solutions. According to Mr. Oweh Mba-Sam, acting Managing Director of Manufacturers Power Development Co. Ltd, Huawei was chosen for its reputation as the world’s largest exporter of PV inverters and battery storage systems.
Jeremiah Ejiroghene Aminode, Solution Manager at Huawei Digital Power Nigeria, revealed that Huawei’s smart solar products have already powered over 2.7 million homes worldwide. He emphasized the safety, reliability, and ease of installation of Huawei solar products, which come with 5-10 years warranty.
Huawei’s smart inverters and batteries offer capacities ranging from 5KWh for residential homes to 2MWh for industrial and commercial use, providing a sustainable energy solution for various sectors in Nigeria.
The introduction of Huawei’s smart solar solutions marks a significant step towards addressing Nigeria’s energy challenges and promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources nationwide.
